Down Syndrome of Louisville could not do what we do without the support of our amazing volunteers. Are you interested in getting involved? We have volunteer roles of all types and for any amount of time you have to give. Just sign up to attend a Volunteer Information Session to get started.

To get started as a new volunteer, please complete our Volunteer Sign Up Form and sign up to attend our next Volunteer Informational Meeting.
Volunteer Informational Meetings are hosted on the first Wednesday of each month; please RSVP to attend.

Weekly Volunteer Opportunities
- Adult Tutoring* – 1 hr, preferred 6-month commitment, teaching experience welcomed!
- Boogie Down Dance Crew – 1-2 hrs a week
- Book Club – 1 hr, preferred 6-week commitment
- ADA Program Visits – share your talents with our adults
- Early Childhood Childcare – 3-4 volunteers are needed weekly

Monthly Volunteer Opportunities
- Living & Learning – 3 hrs, 3rd Thursday every month
- Saturday School – 3-4 hrs, 6 times a year
- Golden Group Activities*- 3-4 hrs, preferred 6-month commitment
- Fundraising Events – 4-6 hours
- Social Events – 2-4 hrs, 2-3 times a month
- Join our Board or a Committee – 2-3 hrs monthly

Seasonal Volunteer Opportunities
- Bike Camp – 5-week Spring or Fall commitment, 1-2 hrs weekly
- SEE Camp* – Preferred 2 hrs daily, 6-week summer commitment
- Audition Bootcamps* – 2 hrs, 6-week summer commitment
- Translation Services* – crisis availability

Educational Support -Youth
- Early Development Childcare -provide weekly childcare during ED Therapy Sessions
- Saturday School – provide additional educational support 6 Saturdays during the school year
- Summer Educational Enrichment (SEE) Camp – 6 week summer camp
- Audition Bootcamps
- Modeling Workshops
Advocacy
- Member Ambassador Program & Kindness Warrior Training
- Translation Services – assist by communicating across barriers
- Legislative Advocacy – raise awareness at our State Capitol
- Become a Fundraiser for DSL!
Events & Engagement
- Boogie Down Crew -weekly dance rehearsals
- Talent Show – 10-week summer program where inclusion is the star
- Social Events – help out at holiday parties, outings, adventures, & more!
- Fundraising Events – buddy up with members & families to raise awareness & support
Educational Support - Adult
- ADA Program Visits – share your talents with our adults
- Golden Group – monthly activities for adults with early on-set dementia or Alzheimer’s
- Book Club – study and share the love of a good book over 6 weeks
- Adult Tutoring – buddy up weekly for continued learning outside the classroom
- Living & Learning – monthly classes teaching everyday life skills
Other Support
- Social Events – plan holiday parties, outings, adventures, & more!
- Fundraising Events – plan events to raise awareness & support
- Board & Committee – Join one to support staff, members, & other volunteers
- Office Assistance – support staff with weekly administrative tasks needed to keep things running smoothly
