Summer Education Enrichment Camp (SEE)
The summer slide is common; it occurs when children are away from the classroom and not participating in formal math and literacy programs. Enroll your child for a three to six-week experience taught by certified teachers and assistants designed to boost summer learning and advance the student toward their annual IEP goals.
Equipping Minds, a cognitive development curriculum is highlighted along with literacy/math strategies and instruction that follow best practices for learners with DS. Friday field trips are a highlight of the week, but every day is full of fun and quality care for your child.

Summer Spanish Classes
DSL is teaming up with Emily Ibrahim for her Ph.D. research study to bring you summer Spanish classes! This is the first study of its kind to investigate the second language acquisition of children with Down syndrome in the foreign language classroom and will hopefully pave the way for more children with Ds to participate with their typical peers in language classes. Spanish classes will be offered daily during our Summer Education Enrichment Program, along with alternative study participant options.
We are excited to open these Spanish classes to our siblings/peers without Down syndrome as well. Classes are fun and interactive, and will be for children who have completed a K-5 grade during the 2021-22 school year.
