Early Childhood Education Classes

At DSL, a thematic curriculum is utilized within an early childhood classroom schedule. A certified developmental therapist facilitates social and play opportunities targeted to each child’s developmental needs and goals. Parents learn strategies to implement in the community and at home to address their specific developmental goals for their child, in addition to information regarding the unique learning styles and issues related to a diagnosis of Down syndrome.

Caregivers are also provided the opportunity to share experiences and resources as they network and support one another. These classes are offered year-round for infants through age five. Any caregiver can attend with the child, and siblings are welcome.
