Board Spotlight – Meet Chad

Chad Hennessey

I’m a lifelong Louisvillian (aside from my 4.5 years in Bowling Green attending Western Kentucky University).  I’m a proud partner at Insuramax, a locally owned independent insurance agency. I’ve been at Insuramax since August of 2000.

My wife Cindy and I are high school sweethearts and will be celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary this year. We are the proud parents of four children Hannah (23), Hunter (20), Hayden (15) and Hudson (9). We also have 2 dogs (Reece and Louie).

I am a lifelong UofL Cardinal Fan, and love all things music, movies and sports. I get teased how much I love Star Wars and well Disney as well 😊.

I’ve proudly served on multiple committees over the years at St. Gabriel and also was on Trinity High School’s alumni board for seven years.

My experience with DSL stemmed from my agency’s long-standing involvement with Down Syndrome of Louisville. Joe Dever (my good friend, mentor, and former partner) proudly had Insuramax involved in many ways throughout the years from sponsorships, volunteering and giving.

My involvement with DSL allows me to continue and build upon Joe’s passion and mission. Plus, to be tied and associated with such a wonderful organization allows for me to give back to the community, serve those in need, and hopefully help make an impact on someone else’s life.
