DSL Receives a New York Life Community Impact Grant
We’re excited to share that Down Syndrome of Louisville (DSL) has received a $25,000 Community Impact Grant from New York Life! This grant was earned through the volunteer service of one of our own: Terry Fenwick, a New York Life agent with the Kentucky General Office.
New York Life’s Community Impact Grant program honors agents and employees who volunteer with nonprofits in their communities. When their service makes a real difference, New York Life backs it with a grant to the organization they support. We’re proud that DSL is one of those organizations.
A Longtime Friend of DSL
Terry is no stranger to our community! He’s currently serving as Secretary of the Down Syndrome Education Foundation (DSEF) board. Above all, he’s Joe’s dad, and his years of dedication to DSL families show in everything he does!
Joe’s performance from the 2026 DSL Talent Show!
We also want to thank the New York Life team from the Kentucky General Office who joined Terry in making this grant possible:
Michael Fisher
Nick Peay
Brandon Cochran
What This Means for Our Families
This grant will help DSL continue to offer our programming and resources for individuals with Down syndrome and their families. Support like this, rooted in a member of our own community, is what keeps DSL growing.
Thank you, Terry, and thank you to the New York Life Kentucky General Office team for investing in DSL. We’re grateful to have you in our corner!
