A new face at DSL!
Bayley Thompson is a counselor-in-training with the clinical mental health counseling graduate program at the University of the Cumberlands. She is doing her clinical experience here at DSL as an intern under the supervision of Jenny Kimes, helping provide mental health support to our teen and adult members and families. Besides being a graduate student, Bayley is also a mother of six adult children, the youngest of whom has Down syndrome.
The HUGS class with Power and Grace provides a supportive, encouraging environment focused on movement, strength, coordination, and confidence. Activities are adapted to meet each participant’s individual needs, allowing everyone to progress at their own pace while experiencing success, fun, and a sense of belonging.
