Thank You, Samtec!

Down Syndrome of Louisville is so grateful for our friends at Samtec and the Samtec Cares Grant Program for awarding us with a $20,000 grant to support Children’s Programming.

As part of our mission to support, educate, and advocate for people who have Down syndrome, we offer comprehensive educational and therapeutic services starting during early childhood so that our members are able to live healthy, successful lives. We provide weekly and monthly classes for infants and toddlers who have Down syndrome to give our members and their families the tools they need to continue learning outside of class. In the summer, the Summer Education Enrichment (SEE) program provides academic support for school-age children with Down syndrome to prevent summer learning loss. In addition to Early Childhood and Summer Educational support, we offer the same curriculum provided during SEE on a monthly basis through Saturday School. These two hour classes help to foster the continued academic and developmental progress made during the school year at our main campus in Jefferson County and other Kentuckiana counties through Pop-Up Programming. Our campus in Southerin Indiana also provides the same educational and developmental support that we believe is vital for children who have Down syndrome to thrive.

Thanks to Samtec, we will be able to ensure that these services continue providing children who have Down syndrome with necessary support for their unique needs. On behalf of the entire DSL family, THANK YOU!
