Ds Awareness Month – Meet Danny, Sammy, & Cammy

Meet our trio: Danny (9), Sammy (7), and Cammy (6)!

Danny loves all kinds of music, fancy table settings, every cheese and chocolate known to man, hiking and exploring, building with legos, playing in sand or water, and swinging! He didn’t start to walk on his own until age 6, and now he is making up for lost time, always begging to go on walks. His engineer’s mind wants to know how anything mechanical works and his adventurous heart wants to go every place he sees a picture of!

Sammy is big and strong! He loves trucks, especially tow trucks and garbage trucks. He loves digging in the sandbox, cutting up large amounts of paper to use as “trash” for his trucks, helping everyone with everything, lots of pretend play and Lego building with “brother,” as he calls Danny.

He has a quick sense of humor and is the first to laugh when we tease him. He is our people person who loves nothing better than to be at home, unless we are going to see “friends” (anyone who is not just us😁) or family (whom he adores).

Cammy is our little ray of sunshine! She is spunky and very active. Her favorite things to do are dancing and singing to music, swinging, playing in sand and water, being mama’s helper, hanging out with Daddy, drinking yogurt smoothies, eating salads, and cautioning her brothers when they’re misbehaving! She loves wearing pretty dresses and shoes, but hates having her hair brushed and styled. She is our patient and sweet little princess!
