National Disability Employment Awareness Spotlight – Derrick and Aaron

Another #NationalDisabilityEmploymentAwarenessMonth proud moment! Career Solutions Specialist, Kristen Falcone, caught this on camera earlier last week: Derrick being a proud papa and taking photos of his independent trainee Aaron!

DSL member Aaron is applying for an opening at Big Lots where member Derrick has been an employee for over 15 years. Aaron shadowed Derrick at work to practice skills he will be using. Derrick modeled tasks a few times and then Aaron took over, doing it on his own. Derrick was a proud papa and started taking pictures! If Aaron secures the open position, he will be trained by Derrick and CS Specialist, Kristen. Best of Luck to Aaron and way to go Derrick on all your hard work!
