Welcome Suzanne!

Please welcome the latest member of the Down Syndrome of Louisville team, Suzanne Johnson! Suzanne joins DSL as a new Academy Teacher.

Suzanne was born and raised in Louisville.  She is a former elementary school teacher who found DSL at the perfect time in her career.  “I couldn’t be happier to be working in such a loving environment where members and staff appreciate each other and what they bring to the DSL family.”

When she’s not at DSL, she likes to spend it with her husband Scott and their daughter Lilly, who is a middle schooler and volleyball player.  Lilly and Suzanne volunteer at Blackacre Nature Preserve and Homestead, helping to take care of the animals.  Scott and Suzanne are die-hard University of Kentucky fans! She is a lover of all animals (except snakes, they freak her out!)  She also enjoys music, sports, and a good nap!
