We LOVE our Volunteers! Meet Stephanie!

April is Volunteer Appreciation Month! All month long we will be featuring the dedicated and wonderful #kindnesswarriors that help us keep our organization running smoothly. First up- Stephanie Livers! This weekend she received the 2019 Joseph O. Thomas Volunteer Award for her service to DSL. ????

Stephanie began serving on the DSL walk Committee 3 years ago and has spent many hours to ensure the walk is successful. She participates in almost all of our teen & adult programming. You can find her in the building helping with our afterhours programming at least twice a week, and sometimes more. She volunteers for the Golf event, the Gala, attended the DWD fashion show… she helps with Book Club, Boogie Down Crew and Living and Learning, too. Stephanie is an RN and having her around adds an extra level of comfort for our team and the members.

Stephanie is so dedicated to us that many parents mistake her for a staff member! She is always the first to jump in and help when we need some extra hands. It should be noted that for the past several years Stephanie is the only brave adult who offered to stay the night for the Girls Lock In, and has pulled strings on many occasions to ensure that our members attend certain events at a discount or for free! We are so blessed to have her as part of our family! #kindnesswarrior #volunteerappreciation #compassioncity#louisvillelove
