Walk on Wheels Team Tuesday: All in for Allen

All in for Allen is a veteran fundraising team and is kicking butt again this year!! They’ll have a fun booth set up at Fall Festival this Saturday to help boost their Walk team Fundraising! Come this Saturday from 8 am – 1 pm to see what fun goodies they have at their booth!! Way to go All in for Allen!! ⭐???? “Towards the end of summer 2019, a friend mentioned that we should think about doing an All in for Allen golf scramble. It sounded like a good idea and who doesn’t like to play golf to benefit a charity?! I made a few phone calls and started throwing together some plans and we had our inaugural scramble last September. Our 2019 scramble raised almost $20,000.00 for Down Syndrome of Louisville!!! We chalked that up as a huge success and were super excited about having our 2nd one this year. Well…COVID hit and not only have we canceled our All in for Allen golf scramble for this fall, but DSL has also had to cancel their annual Steps to Independence walk which is held at the end of September. This event usually raises between $175,000 and $200,000 and is the biggest fundraising event each year for Down Syndrome of Louisville. In hopes of still raising some of those funds, DSL is having a COVID friendly ‘Walk on Wheels’ aka scavenger hunt on wheels at the end of October, and we have set up a personal fundraising page for All in for Allen???????? We are raising money thru our team page, which is below, as well as selling All in for Allen spirit wear and a couple other fundraising surprises in the month of October, in honor of Down Syndrome Awareness Month!” #WalkonWheels #DSLKindsnessWarrior #StepstoIndependence
