Crockpot Chili- Virtual Cooking Class

Chili

DSL Chef Level: Easy (stove, crockpot) 

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound of ground beef or ground turkey
  • 1 packet of Bloemer’s Chili Seasoning
  • 1 can kidney beans
  • 1 16oz jar of chunky salsa (We like ChiChis brand)
  • 1 4oz can of tomato paste
  • 1 8oz can of tomato sauce
  • Macaroni or spaghetti noodles (optional)
  • Cheddar cheese (for serving)
  • Sour Cream (for serving)

Directions:

  1. Wash your hands
  2. Cook meat in a skillet, drain if needed
  3. Add Bloemer’s seasoning to your meat
  4. Put meat mixture in the crockpot
  5. Drain kidney beans, add them to the crockpot
  6. Add salsa to the crockpot
  7. Add the tomato paste to the crockpot
  8. Add the tomato sauce to the crockpot
  9. If your chili is thick, you can add some water
  10. Cook on high for 2-4 hours or low until dinnertime!
  11. If you like noodles in your chili, make those separately and serve with your chili. (If you add them to the Crockpot- be sure to add some water for more moisture!
  12. Serve with cheddar cheese and sour cream on top if you’d like.
  13. Enjoy!
