Antipasto Salad- Virtual Cooking Class

antipasto salad

DSL Chef Level: Easy (some chopping)

Makes 4 servings

Ingredients: 

Please note- there are many ingredients listed, but you can just add the items you like!

For the dressing:

  • Your favorite vinaigrette

OR

  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • salt and pepper to taste

For the salad:

  • chunks or pearls of mozzarella cheese (you could chop up string cheese!)
  • roasted red pepper (found in a jar)
  • artichoke hearts (found in a can)
  • pepperonis
  • salami
  • olives, black or green
  • banana peppers
  • grape tomatoes
  • romaine lettuce, chopped or torn
  • fresh basil, snipped or torn

If you are making the dressing:

  1. Wash your hands
  2. Whisk together balsalmic, olive oil, and add salt and pepper to taste

To make the salad:

  1. Wash your hands
  2. Chop and cut all of the ingredients to be in bite sized pieces
  3. Assemble your salad- lettuce on the bottom!
  4. You can serve with dressing and ingredients mixed in, or arrange your toppings on top and let everyone serve themselves and add dressing.
