Down Syndrome of Louisville Fundraiser Returns to Live Format

Down Syndrome of Louisville Fundraiser Returns to Live Format
The 11th Annual Gallop Gala presented by MHS

Louisville, Ky. (Feb. 2, 2022) – Down Syndrome of Louisville is celebrating the 11th year of it’s popular fundraising event, the Gallop Gala, by returning to an in-person format. The event will be held at Churchill Downs on Millionaire’s Row on Friday, April 8, 2022, at 6 p.m. The Gallop Gala will feature live and silent auctions, music, and dancing to The Louisville Crashers, alongside the amazing individuals with Down syndrome the organization serves.

“We are so grateful that our Gallop Gala will be live in 2022 after being held virtually the past two years. Thanks to the generosity of our presenting sponsor, MHS Global, we will once again be able to celebrate and recognize our members with Down syndrome in a truly joyful setting,” said Tim Curtis, Development Director with Down Syndrome of Louisville. “The Gala plays a major role in supporting our yearly sustainment goal of $1.2 million. Our fundraising target for this year’s event is $225,000 to help us continue growing our programs and regional outreach. We hope community members will come experience the joy their donation makes possible.”

The funds raised during the Gallop Gala will help support the world’s largest and most advanced regional Down syndrome community.  Down Syndrome of Louisville strives for excellence in everything they do, including offering innovative educational, social, and developmental programming to people with Down syndrome.
