Starlight’s Special Blend: Crafting Bourbon and Connections for DSL

In a heartwarming display of generosity and community spirit, the Cochran Family in collaboration with Starlight Distillery, recently made a significant contribution to Down Syndrome of Louisville (DSL). Funds were raised through the sale of specially crafted bourbon bottles. With unique endeavor not only raised funds for a noble cause but also brought people together to celebrate the joy and strength of a young boy named Oliver.

The star of this charitable initiative is none other than Oliver Cochran, an absolute bundle of joy for the Cochran family. Oliver’s story was shared on over 175 bourbon bottles sold to support his Kindness Warrior Walk Team. The bottles became a canvas for spreading awareness about the remarkable individuals with Down syndrome in our community.

Oliver’s Walk Team, aptly named “Oliver & Company” participated in the annual walk organized by DSL, in October to raise awareness and support for individuals with Down syndrome.

Alyssa, Oliver’s mom, expressed her gratitude, saying, “Oliver is the absolute joy of our lives, and as a parent, there is nothing greater than having a village celebrating and advocating for your children. That’s what we have with DSL, and we could not be more grateful.” Her words reflect the profound impact that community support from businesses like Huber’s Winery & Starlight Distillery can have on families facing the challenges associated with a Down syndrome diagnosis.
