Kentucky State Medicaid Waivers

Children and adults with an intellectual disability may qualify for a 1915(c) Home- and Community-Based Services (HCBS) Medicaid waiver. These waivers provide the support you need to live as independently as possible. 1915(c) HCBS waivers typically offer Medicaid-paid services you can not receive through Kentucky’s state Medicaid program.

  • DSL encourages all members to apply. Sometimes parents do not think it is necessary until later in life, however, there are benefits you can use for your member at any age, and with the waiting list so long – it’s best to sign up NOW!
