In loving memory of Brian Smith

It is with the deepest sadness we share with you one of our beloved members, Brian Smith has passed. Brian loved Elvis and particularly loved to dance to Jail House Rock. He loved hanging out with friends at DSL. He especially loved ice cream and doing math! We liked to call him “math wiz”. We will miss him dearly and feel honored and grateful to have so many wonderful memories with him. Please keep his family and friends close to your heart at this time. Rest now, Brian. We love you

Brian Joseph Smith, 58, passed away at his residence at Cedar Lake Lodge Park Place on December 4, 2023, with his loving family and his extended family from Park Place by his side.  Brian was born on July 29, 1965, to the late John Frederick Smith and Alice Irene (Kelly) Smith. Brian was a good-natured gentle soul who was loved by everyone. His infectious smile and big hugs could warm the heart of anyone. He was the youngest of five children and was doted on by his brothers and sisters. In addition to his parents, Brian was preceded in death by his beloved stepmother, Virginia (Meyer) Smith, and his grandparents, Lawrence and Margaret Kelly, and Edward and Minnie Smith. Left to cherish his memory are his brothers and sisters, Cynthia A. (Smith) Breit, William “Bud” E. Smith, Julie A. Smith, and John F. Smith, Jr., and his step-sister, Pam Taylor, along with many nieces and nephews.
