The DSL Garden Club provides members with hands-on learning experiences centered around gardening, sustainability, and outdoor exploration. This new program focuses on nurturing responsibility, patience, and teamwork while connecting members with nature and healthy habits.

Club sessions include a mix of gardening tasks, seasonal planting, harvesting, and creative projects like building garden markers, composting, and flower arranging. DSL partners with local experts and volunteers from organizations like Louisville Grows to guide members in learning about soil care, plant life cycles, nutrition, and environmental stewardship.

Each meeting blends practical skills with social interaction. Members get to dig, plant, water, and create — all while enjoying teamwork and conversation in the sunshine. These engaging sessions foster a sense of pride, ownership, and connection to the natural world.
